We have been captivated by Byeon Woo Seok ever since he caught our attention in the drama “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency.” With his charming “flower boy” aura and impressive acting skills, we knew from the start that Byeon Woo Seok was destined to bloom into an extraordinary star.

Though Byeon Woo Seok is no newcomer to the industry, he reminds us that hard work and patience are key to success. Since making his acting debut in 2016, he has only recently achieved a level of popularity where he can sell out all tickets for his fan meetings. His journey is a testament to perseverance and dedication.

This dedication was evident during the ticket sale for his fan meeting in Manila, where tickets sold out quickly, prompting fans to request an additional show. However, due to his packed schedule, he can only do one show in Manila.
When Byeon Woo Seok flew to Manila on the evening of June 20, he was warmly welcomed by a large crowd of fans at the airport. Many had eagerly awaited his arrival, and it was evident that he was both surprised and touched by the heartfelt welcome.
No yellow umbrellas but we received a yellow rose from Byeon Woo Seok himself

On June 21st, Byeon Woo Seok held a press conference before his fan meeting in Manila. When introduced by the host, Ms. Kring Kim, the press members were taken aback as Byeon Woo Seok entered holding yellow roses. What truly amazed us was his gesture of handing them out individually to each journalist, making direct eye contact with everyone. It was clear how genuinely sincere he was, taking the time to express his appreciation to the press.
Byeon Woo Seok revealed that it was his first trip to the Philippines. He shared that when he arrived at the airport, he was so happy that there were a lot of fans that welcomed him.
During the start of the press conference, he learned some Tagalog words and sentences like “Salamat,” “Padayon” and “Uwi ka na, hindi na ako galit.”
“Lovely Runner” marks his debut as a leading actor in a K-Drama. While we adore his character Sun Jae, our admiration for him as a person surpasses that. Byeon Woo Seok expressed that receiving positive feedback for a character he portrayed was a significant achievement for him. When asked about his future roles, he mentioned that he doesn’t have a specific role in mind; rather, he chooses projects based on his connection with the material.

When asked what he would be if he weren’t an actor, Byeon Woo Seok revealed he would pursue entrepreneurship, specifically owning a coffee shop—even though he doesn’t drink coffee himself, he enjoys serving others. We can already imagine starting our mornings with coffee from his shop!
If you’ve seen “Lovely Runner,” you’ll understand how challenging it is to choose a favorite scene. Byeon Woo Seok himself shared some memorable moments that stood out to him personally. His first pick was the scene in Episode 3 where his character confesses his feelings to Im Sol. Another memorable moment from the same episode was the heartfelt conversation between Sun Jae and his father. Lastly, from Episode 10, he highlighted the scene where Sun Jae reassures Im Sol that he would be willing to sacrifice himself to protect her.

Byeon Woo Seok answered our question, “Out of all the dramas that you have appeared in, which one would you recommend to your new fans, except for ‘Lovely Runner’?” He shared that all of his dramas are precious to him, but he recommended “Strong Girl Nam-soon” and “20th Century Girl” for his new fans.
Before leaving the stage, he kindly reminded the press to take care, considering the rain outside the venue. His thoughtfulness shone through from beginning to end!
