Initially debuting with seven of their eight members as minors, the group has dedicated their past six mini-albums to expressing boys’ anxieties and the beginning of love.
Now, in 2024, as adults, EPEX strives to narrate fresh stories from the midst of youth. “Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS” marks the start of their trilogy of full-studio albums.
We are coming back with our first full-length album centered around the theme of youth. As all of our members have become adults this year, we’ve filled this album with the essence of youth that best represents us now. From our teenage years, which marked the beginning of EPEX, to our youth, we can convey our stories well. We would appreciate it if you could join us and listen to our youth together. It’s the first comeback for all members as adults, and the first full album since our debut! Moreover, this album contains the keyword “youth,” so it’s filled with affection and sincerity. The title song “Youth2Youth” is a song with a perfect storyline, and I believe nothing is lacking in this track’s choreography, lyrics, or any other aspect. We prepared it with the eagerness to share it with our fans as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to convey this overwhelming and exciting sentiment on stage. The album features eight brand-new tracks. The lead single, “청춘에게 (Youth2Youth),” delves into the personal narratives the narrator, as a young person, wishes to convey to fellow youths.
“KILLSHOT” delivers a powerful message advocating for the elimination of oppression and barriers hindering one’s true self-expression.
“Breathe in Love” vividly portrays the overwhelming sensation of experiencing pure love, to the extent of feeling breathless.
“Painkiller” explores the concept of being a source of solace that alleviates the struggles of youth.
“Dominate” is a rap unit collaboration (KEUM, BAEKSENG, AYDEN, and JEFF) expressing the feelings of helplessness and despair often experienced by youth under the influence of unseen forces.
“Lay Up” sheds light on the unique power and vigor possessed solely by the youth, along with the associated responsibilities.
“말할 수 있는 비밀 (My Secret)” is a vocal unit performance (WISH, MU, A-MIN, and YEWANG) delving into the intimacy of sharing secrets with a special someone.
Finally, the album concludes with “졸업식 (Graduation Day),” which was unveiled as a pre-release on February 5th.
