NCT member Kim Doyoung released first his full-length album “YOUTH” along with the music video for the title track “반딧불 (Little Light)”.
“YOUTH” highlights Doyoung’s strong vocals and captivating musicality. The album’s vibrant mix of genres will surely evoke a wide range of emotions while also providing comfort.
During a pre-album live event, the South Korean artist talked about the difficulties he faced while recording the album, but he also expressed his desire to encourage listeners.
“When I prepared the album, there were tough times. I am doing this alone when I am used to nine members,” Doyoung shared.
“I have been dreaming of this and I hope you enjoy this promotion with me. If you have hard times, I hope you enjoy the moment in the present as well,” he added.
The much-awaited album features 10 original compositions, two of which he co-wrote: “Beginning” and “From Little Wave.”
The NCT vocalist worked with member Mark and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon on the song “Time Machine.” This is the sole performance song collaboration on the album.
While Doyoung is also known for singing Korean OSTs, fans can enjoy more of his solo era with “Little Light,” “Serenade,” “Rewind,” “Warmth,” “Lost in California,” “Rest,” and “Dallas Love Field.”
Additionally, Doyoung will be performing as a soloist at the 2024 LOVESOME Festival in Seoul on April 28.
