In the emergency press conference, NEWJEANS members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein formally announced that all of them will be leaving ADOR.
NewJeans’ Hanni made a clear statement regarding the group’s recent actions and ongoing negotiations. “I would like to say once again that the YouTube Live we did in September and the corrective action request we sent two weeks ago were things that all five of us decided and carried out.”
She went on to clarify the reason for the urgent press conference: “The reason we are holding an emergency press conference is that the deadline for the corrective action request we sent ends tonight at midnight. Despite business hours being over, it appears that HYBE and ADOR have not shown any willingness to address our concerns or meet our demands.”
“The reason we are leaving ADOR is very simple,” Hanni said. “NewJeans is an artist under ADOR, and it is the company’s fundamental duty to protect us. However, ADOR has shown neither the will nor the ability to provide that protection. As a result, we believe staying here is a waste of time, and the mental strain will only continue.”
She continued, emphasizing the lack of benefit to remaining with the company: “Above all, there is absolutely nothing to gain from staying at ADOR. That’s why we believe there is no reason for us to remain.”
