Yeon Sang Ho’s “Peninsula” surpassed 3 million viewers in just 14 days after its release.
“Peninsula,” continued its box office success, surpassing 3 million viewers. On the first week since its premiere, the movie sold more than 2 Million tickets.
The movie is an action blockbuster about what happened four years after “Train to Busan.”
Aside from South Korea, “Peninsula” topped box offices in other countries like Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mongolia. It is also expected to premiere in North America, Europe, and New Zealand in August.
Meanwhile, the main characters Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, and Director Yeon Sang Ho expressed their gratitude by sharing a photo on Instagram thanking the viewers.
