Effective February 20, 2026, the submission of three months of bank statements will be waived for all types of visa applications. This change removes a significant administrative hurdle for Filipino travelers, although other financial documents may still be requested depending on the visa category.

Student applicants will also see a simplified process. Previously, students were required to submit both an original school certificate and a copy of their student ID. Under the new guidelines, they may choose to submit either the original school certificate or a copy of the student ID as proof of status.
For group or family applications, KVAC is introducing a “one-copy” policy for common documents. Supporting papers such as invitation letters, family relationship documents, and company-related files only need to be submitted in a single copy, which must be attached to the file of the group’s representative applicant.
The center is also relaxing rules regarding employment-related documentation. Applicants will no longer need to provide an explanation letter if their employment certificate lacks a landline number or features an electronic signature. KVAC stated that these documents will be accepted provided they include alternative contact information, such as an email address or mobile phone number.
These updates follow the recent extension of the simplified visa process for select credit cardholders and government officials, which remains in effect through December 31, 2026.
