Yesung awakens senses in Manila concert

We are kicking off 2024 with one of the best K-Pop vocalists, Yesung!

With over 18 years in the entertainment industry since his debut, Yesung, along with his fellow Super Junior members, has solidified their position with chart-topping hits and remarkable physical album sales.

Wandering down memory lane, we rewind to those high school days when the songs of Super Junior became the anthem of our youth. We began our journey of stanning Super Junior, our hearts dancing to the rhythm of K-pop. Now, fast forward to the present; we find ourselves navigating the intricate steps of adulting.

Many years have passed, but one thing that never fades is our love for Super Junior. Just like last January 6, we joined Yesung for his solo concert in Manila titled “Unfading Sense” at the New Frontier Theater.

Yesung performing with a live band? We already know that we will have a great night. With his soulful vocals, Yesung started off his solo concert with “Scented Things,” “Fornever,” and “Silhouette” from his fifth mini-album “Unfading Sense.”

Yesung said hi to his Filipino fans and recalled coming to the Philippines many times just to see them, the Filipino ELFs. He’s happy to see them more often and thinks maybe they’re used to him being there, making him feel comfortable around them.

Moreover, fans were treated to a series of live performances of beautiful songs such as “No More Love,” “Butterfly,” “Moment,” “Floral Sense,” “Beautiful,” “4 Seasons,” “HO,” “Like Us,” and “It Has To Be You.”

Looking good as always, Yesung revealed that he actually got a haircut. Curious about his fans’ opinions, he asked them if they approved of his new look. And, of course, the fans responded that they liked his new hair by shouting “Pogi” (handsome).

He then continued the concert by performing “Bear Hug” and “Lost Heart.” Yesung specifically mentioned that every time he sings “Lost Heart,” he wishes it was the title track of his album.

The night wouldn’t be complete without the fan project video. PH Clouds organized a special video, taking Yesung’s photocards to iconic tourist spots in the Philippines, including Cebu, Davao, and the Rice Terraces.

Nearing the end of the concert, Yesung delivered soul-touching performances of “Small Things” and “Slide Away.” The meticulous planning of Yesung’s solo concert was evident, from the thoughtfully designed stage adorned with flowers resembling a vibrant garden to the dynamic circle screen, transforming with every mood of the song. And, of course, the carefully curated setlist added the perfect finishing touch.

For the encore, Yesung performed “Like Us,” “Together,” and “I Am.”

We feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced the authentic bond that Yesung shares with his Filipino fans. The enchanting melodies and heartfelt memories exchanged between Yesung and the Clouds will never fade and will last a lifetime.”

Yesung’s solo concert “Unfading Sense” in Manila was presented by PULP Live World and Happee Hour.
