Bobby defies gravity in Manila concert

Take it from us: If you’ve never seen this man perform, with his group or solo, you are missing out!

Last Sunday on March 17, IKON’s Bobby dominated the SM Skydome with his current tour Zero Gravity. Call it perfect timing when he just dropped his 3rd full-length album, “Sir.Robert.“, so a lot of fans were down to vibe it out!

Then also having missed out last year for Wanderland Music and Arts Fest, this 2-hour show definitely made up for it with his head-banging songs!

The moment he walked on stage with his white get-up and two-toned hair, he started off the entire show with “f” and “DeViL”. Pumping the crowd also with “NO TIME”, “hercules!”, and “harmless”, the enthralling red sea of lightsticks and jumping fans was a sight and feeling like no other. Even the floor was shaking!

Within those songs, Bobby got to greet and hype the wild crowd. Sharing how there’s no other energy like in Manila from the past places he’s been to, he continues to thank everyone in the room. Not only that, he did notice how the AC or Aircon seemed to not be working.

To make things playful, he shares that it’s because of the fans that made the room hot! First of all, facts!

“Finally, I made it to Manila. Thank you so much for your love and support!”

Bobby

Keeping the balance between such energy rush and mellow tunes, Bobby toned things down with “Runaway” and “Lean on Me”. You can really feel his connection with his fans during this time.

Aside from his consistent performances, he also took the time to introduce his amazing band! Perhaps the craziest yet thrilling thing he did was jumping off the stage to get closer to fans (safely) during “HeartBROKEN PlaYBoY.” Even we were stunned no matter how far we were from the stage!

He also wore a Philippine flag-inspired jacket, which he’d wanted to wear since he got it last year.

Capping things off, he performed “GOrGeOus”, “Firework”, “Swim”, and another round of “HeartBROKEN PlaYBoY”.

Bobby is undoubtedly an artist worth putting on your concert bucket list. Especially if you’re a first timer into the K-Hiphop scene with hints of EDM and rock in the mix, every second is alive with thrill and energy. As someone who’s been going to concerts for a long time, I was truly impressed by his stage presence and performances! And for Bobby and IKON, I would do it again.

And don’t worry too much if you missed out on seeing him as a solo artist — he’ll be back soon with IKON for “2024 iKON Limited Tour – Get Back in Manila” on April 7, 2024.

This show was presented by Three Angles Production. Stay tuned with us here at OneSeoulPH for more news, updates, and features on everything Kpop, Kdrama, and more!
