Cha Eun Woo, PH fans stars align in Manila fanconcert

Cha Eun Woo and his Filipino fans met again in Manila for “Just One 10 Minute: ‘‘Mystery Elevator” fan concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last March 16.

Every time Cha Eun Woo graces Manila with his presence, it’s a familiar yet magical experience, akin to rediscovering your first love. For many, it’s a very special event, resembling wedding preparations—getting pampered with nail and eyelash extensions, perfecting makeup, choosing the ideal outfit, and even wearing wedding gowns.

Even before Cha Eun Woo steps onto the stage, we can all hear the fans screaming their hearts out, waiting for Eun Woo to come out. And, as his perfect shadow appeared, the screams became louder and with that we concluded that Filipino Arohas really missed Cha Eun Woo.

For his opening performance, Cha Eun Woo performed his version of ‘10 Minutes,’ originally by Lee Hyori. As soon as I heard his version, I couldn’t help but wonder if there exists a studio recording of this cover, as his voice seamlessly complements the song. (We can even listen to a 10 minute version of his cover haha.) Making the night hotter, Cha Eun Woo performed ‘Fu*king Great Time’ and for sure everyone in the arena had a Fu*king Great Time with that performance. For his next song, Cha Eun Woo sang ‘Stay.’ also from his solo album ‘ENTITY’.

Arohas adore Cha Eun Woo even more now, thanks to his thoughtful gesture of learning local words to engage in conversations with his fans. It’s truly heartwarming to see idols like him making efforts to engage with their fans on a little personal level.

For the first stop, we went to Cha Eun Woo’s Concept Store wherein Cha Eun Woo will pick an item and every item has a corresponding question or task that he needs to do.

One of the highlights of that part is when Cha Eun Woo picked the crown, he needed to say a phrase in a cute, sexy, affectionate, chic, and serious way. Moreover, for his final task, Cha Eun Woo was asked to draw on a whiteboard within 10 seconds, and he wrote “Aroha, I love U.”

Cha Eun Woo really gives off that First Love vibes as he performed a cover of Backstreet Boys’ “As Long As You Love Me.” Arohas inside the arena sang along with him, After that, he performed his song “First Love.”

He then danced to Astro songs like “Crazy, Sexy, Cool,” “Knock,” “Candy Sugar Pop.” Following those breathtaking performances, he sang “Love Sailing,” and “Love so Fine,” original soundtracks of his hit Korean dramas.

Furthermore, Cha Eun Woo also performed more on his solo songs titled “U&I,” “Where Am I,” & “You’re the Best”.

To wrap up the night, we then went on to the viewing room, where Cha Eun Woo created a constellation specifically for the Filipino fans. It took the form of the letter “P,” symbolizing the Philippines.

This fan concert is also special because Cha Eun Woo will be celebrating his birthday this month. As Filipinos love to celebrate birthdays, the night wouldn’t be complete without the fans singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Cha Eun Woo. He then responded, saying that Filipino fans were actually the first to greet him with a happy birthday.

This fanmeeting is now written in the stars, so every time you look at the night sky, you will remember that there was a day when you felt genuinely happy.

Cha Eun Woo’s ‘Just One 10 Minute: Mystery Elevator’ in Manila was presented by PULP Live World and Happee Hour.
