On May 2, JYP Entertainment told Korean media outlets, “Dahyun has been cast in ‘Sprint’ and is preparing for filming.”
“Sprint” follows the journey of sprinter Goo Young’s last race. After breaking the Korean record for the 100-meter run, which had remained unbroken for 30 years, a decade has passed, and contrary to expectations, Goo Young no longer finds joy in running as he approaches the end of his prime. He is filled with regret for the path he has taken. Earlier, actor Ha Seok Jin announced that he will portray sprinter Kang Goo Young.
Dahyun is garnering attention as she embarks on her debut acting role in ‘Sprint,’ marking a milestone in her career 10 years after entering the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Dahyun’s group, Twice, which debuted in 2015, is set to release their fifth full-length album ‘DIVE’ in Japan on July 17th.
