South Korean Actress Kim Ji Won successfully wrapped up her first ever fanmeeting in Manila. The sold-out 2024 KIM JI WON 1ST FANMEETING <BE MY ONE> IN MANILA, held at the New Frontier Theater, was an overwhelming success. The event left fans profoundly moved and enhanced the actress’s admiration for the country’s warm-hearted people.
Prior to the show, Kim Ji Won took the time to meet with local media members. She shared that the “Be My One” fan meeting tour feels like meeting old friends she’s only ever corresponded with through letters like PenPal. She also shared that she is looking forward to creating memories with fans and have fun.
During the press conference, she was asked which of her Korean dramas she would recommend to viewers. With genuine enthusiasm, Kim Ji Won revealed her top choice. She confidently endorsed “Queen of Tears” as her recommendation. ‘Queen of Tears’ is her latest drama and it received positive response in Korea and of course in the Philippines. Kim Ji Won then shared that lately she loves listening to the songs by NewJeans and aespa.
As the fan meeting began, thousands of Filipino fans warmly welcomed Kim Ji Won, who opened the event with a performance of ‘Stupid Cupid’ from her 2011 series, What’s Up. On stage, her captivating presence and radiant beauty mesmerized everyone in the audience.
Kim Ji Won was asked about the first food she tried in the Philippines. She said that she heard that the Philippine Mangoes are really good so she tried the mangoes when she arrived.
As the event unfolded, Kim Ji Won engaged playfully with fans during the game segment, answered their questions, and generously distributed official merchandise.
Nearing the middle of the fanmeeting, Kim Ji Won performed her favorite official soundtrack from Queen of Tears, Promise by Choi Yu Ri, For her last song performance, she performed Only by Lee Hi.
For the fanproject, the fans prepared a video message and a hand banner for Kim Ji Won. She shared that she felt surprised and touched when the crowd sang Tell Me It’s Not A Dream by 10CM.
