Mark Tuan Takes Manila to ‘The Other Side’ with his Solo Concert

GOT7 member Mark Tuan, graced Manila's stage on his first ever solo concert tour in the country.

The show, held in SM North Edsa’s Skydome on Sunday, January 14th, marked a key milestone in his career as he began his solo journey, showcasing his masterpieces and captivating hearts.

The Last Piece

PH Ahgases (GOT7’s fandom name) has been nothing but excited as Mark, dubbed as ‘the last piece’, completed the GOT7’s ‘tingi‘ (by piece) concert in the Philippines.

After leaving their former company, each GOT7 members signed with different agencies and started working on their individual projects with assurance to their fans that they will still work as a group.

In 2022, Youngjae came back to Manila with his “Sugar Mini-Concert and Fanmeet” in July, as well as “K-pop Masterz 2” in September.

Bambam held his first “B fansign event” in Cebu and Manila and his first solo performance in Manila with Jackson for “K-pop Masterz” in July 2022. He came back to the country in 2023 for “Wavy Baby Music Festival” in January and for his “Area52” solo concert in September.

Jackson has been in Manila twice in 2022 with “K-pop Masterz” in July and “Head In The Clouds” in August.

Yugyeom held his first solo concert live in Manila in August 2022. In 2023, he came back with his crew and labelmates for the AOMG “Follow the Movement” tour in January, and then the latest event he participated which is “K-Magic Concert” in September.

Jinyoung met PH Ahgases during his fanmeeting in February 2023 before he enlist in the military.

Group Leader Jaebeom also came back to Manila with his “Tape: Press Pause” solo concert in October 2022.

And finally, the time has come for Mark to meet the PH Ahgases again after 4 years.

The Other Side

Mark’s good friend, Wes (@wesdaboy), kicked started the show as he performed some of his songs, and successfully hyping up the crowd with his ments and stages.

Mark Tuan delivered a mesmerizing stages of his solo hits which include ‘save me,’ ‘change up,’ ‘at my low,’ ‘last breath,’ and ‘my life,’among others, from his solo album “The Other Side.”

Another highlight of the night was witnessing Mark’s moves again as he performed songs from his latest Ep “Fallin” including the track of the same title, ‘Your World,’ ‘Nights Still Young,’ ‘Everyone Else Fades,’ ‘Carry Me Out,’ and ‘This is Everything.’

Mark also expressed his gratitude, telling everyone that it was nice to be back and to see them again.

“Apparently, all the members have been here except me. I’m sorry I took so long,” Mark told the PH Ahgases.

While we know every GOT7 member is always worth the wait, Mark also asked the crowd to wait a little bit for GOT7 to be back together again. He continued to assure fans that they will stick together and put out songs as a group as soon as they could. Who knows, “soon” could mean early in the following year or even this year!

Towards the end, Mark continued to showcase his powerful vocals and moves as he performed some of his hit single for his encore such as ‘Never Gonna Come Down,’ ‘One in a Million,‘ and ‘imysm.’

Mark not only wowed the crowd with his music but also took them on an emotional journey with his personal anecdotes and expressed gratitude for all of the steadfast support he has received.

From the opening to the final encore, Mark Tuan’s performance was a testament to how much he has grown as an artist over the years. His music brought warm and comfort to every person present during the show.

In a venue where all of the seats and areas are considerably closer to the stage and the artist, Mark and PH Ahgases have a clear synergy between them. This undoubtedly made the event more intimate and memorable for everyone.
