South Korean boy group NCT 127 explores their musical path with the release of their 6th full-length album “WALK” on Monday, July 15. They also unveiled the music video for its lead track, “삐그덕 (Walk),” which draws inspiration from old-school hip-hop style and flow.
Its catchy bridge and overall upbeat music showcase that 127 crew definitely don’t care ‘bout a thang but to deliver talent while also enjoying quirky scenes, fresh outfits, and swaggy movements.
During the pre-album event “Walk Daily Magazine Launch Party”, members of the group revealed that this is their first time trying this genre.
“All of us said we should go with “Walk” because it seemed like we were breaking the stereotype of the negative image,” Doyoung said.
Also, we patiently wait for leader Taeyong’s return from his military duty, fans can continue to listen to his presence in the new album.
“WALK” features a total of 11 songs starting from their title track “삐그덕 (Walk)” along with “Intro: Wall to Wall,” “No Clue,” “오렌지색 물감 (Orange Seoul)” and “서서히 (Suddenly).” Listeners can keep the Neo vibe going with “Pricey,” “Gas,” and “Meaning of Love.”
With their nostalgic vibe and top-tier vocals by NCT 127, “Time Capsule,” “Can’t Help Myself,” and “Rain Drop” are ideal for reminiscing memorable moments.
In addition, the album will also include four different physical albums including Walk Crew Character Card, Poster, Podcast, and Walk. .
On June 23, the nine-member K-Pop group started promotion on their Instagram account with “Walk Daily Magazine” which mimics a digital publication of their visual teasers, interviews, and other content.
Fans can flip through different previews of the main characters in different previews of Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, Haechan, and the return of Taeil in various covers.
On the same year, the nine-member group performed for NCT 127 3RD TOUR “NEO CITY : BULACAN – THE UNITY” at the Philippine Sports Stadium. Member Taeil wasn’t able to join the concert who was recovering from an injury last year.
