Participating in the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Torch Relay on Feb. 5 (local time), the 23-year-old artist completed a “full-circle” journey. Before rising to international fame with the “Bite Me” singers, SUNGHOON was a decorated competitive figure skater and a member of South Korea’s national reserve team.

Clad in the official white-and-red relay uniform, SUNGHOON carried the torch near Milan’s Bolivar Station. The route was lined with hundreds of “ENGENEs” (the group’s fans) and local spectators who gathered to witness the former “Ice Prince” return to his sporting roots.

It’s incredibly emotional to be part of the Olympics, which has long been a dream of mine, now as a singer,” SUNGHOON said in a statement following the event. As a former athlete, I know the passion and dedication that go into preparing for this stage. Being able to support the athletes and take part in this journey is a true honor.”
SUNGHOON’s participation was made possible through a recommendation by Samsung Electronics, an official Worldwide Olympic Partner. His role also serves his current position as a promotional ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC).
