Jin completed his training and has been assigned to serve as a assistant instructor during his military service.

Jin of the group BTS, real name Kim Seok Jin (31 years old), has completed training for new recruits and will now serve as an assistant instructor during his military service.

On January 18th, Jin participated in the completion ceremony for recruit training at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. He is expected to continue his military service as an assistant instructor in the same battalion. Jin applied to be an assistant instructor and was selected through a ceremony, command evaluation, and an oral interview.

Jin is serving as an assistant instructor at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center, where other notable figures such as singer and actor Rain, 2PM’s Chansung Hwang and actor Lee Jang-woo have also served in the same center.

Moreover, Jin entered the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center on December 13th of last year and completed five weeks of basic military training. His military service has garnered significant attention due to his worldwide popularity. Images of Jin participating in rituals, CBRN training, and tactical marches were shared on military communities and applications, and received support from fans.

On the other hand, BTS’s agency, Big Hit Music, stated on January 5th that they hope fans will refrain from visiting the training center in order to prevent safety issues caused by crowding at the site. They asked that fans refrain from attending the graduation ceremony and instead send their support and encouragement to Jin.

The expected date for Jin’s discharge from military service is June 12, 2024.
