EXO member Chanyeol will star in the upcoming Korean film “The Box (literal translation).”
According to the movie industry officials on the 30th, Chanyeol recently decided to appear on “The Box,” and is currently discussing on the details.
“The Box” is a jukebox movie about a music tour of an aspiring singer and a producer who enjoyed the peak popularity in the past but is now facing a decline in his career.
Famous theater director Yang Jung Woong, who was in charge of the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, will also take charge in directing the film.
Moreover, it was reported that Chanyeol will also participate in producing some songs for the movie.
In 2016, Chanyeol starred in a Chinese-South Korean romantic comedy film “So I Married an Anti-fan” which was released in China.
Meanwhile, “The Box” will start filming at the end of August after completing the cast line-up.
