Actress-Model, Lee Sung Kyung held her first-ever fan meeting “Be Joyful” in Manila at SM Skydome, July 27.
Lee Sung Kyung welcomed her fans with her own rendition of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” soundtrack “Part of Your World.” She then greeted her fans with “Mabuhay.”
She was asked a couple of questions about her iconic roles. Kim Bok Joo, a character from her hit popular drama “Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” was the character she wanted to portray again. Sung Kyung admitted that her role in “About Time” Choi Mikaela was the hardest for her and the piano scene took a lot of time to finish.
Sung Kyung revealed that she is considering three things before accepting a role. First, if the fans would love the role, Second, if she is fit for the role, and lastly, if she is passionate about the role.
Furthermore, on Lee Sung Kyung’s playlist corner, she shared the songs she is enjoying right now. “A Whole New World” Alladin’s OST sang by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane, was one of the songs in her playlist. Lee Sung Kyung’s version of “A Whole New World” gone viral and noticed by Ms. Lea Salonga, the original Singer.
From the K-Drama “It’s Ok, That’s Love” OST, she loves listening to “You’re My Bestfriend” by The Once. She said that it was special to her because “It’s Ok, That’s Love” was the first drama she starred in. “This Never Happened Before” from Bonnie and Clyde broadway musical and of course “From Now On” by Kim Min Seung from “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” soundtrack.
Moreover, she played a ladder game in which she did a sexy walk, played the keyboard and she danced to BLACKPINK Jennie’s “Solo”. Lee Sung Kyung also showed off her dancing skills, she danced to Twice’s “Fancy” and BLACKPINK’s “Kill this Love.”
The crowd had a chance to play “Bato Bato Pick” (Filipino ver of Rock Paper Scissors/Kai Bai Bo).
Joyful Fairy Lee Sung Kyung granted a lot of wishes. She took a selfie with a fan’s phone, She did a morning greeting for a lucky fan, she also gave an autographed polaroid photo and lastly, a special customized T-Shirt made by Lee Sung Kyung, herself.
“Sayang talaga…” she said as the end of the fan meeting approached. She added that every moment of the fan meeting is her favorite and Filipino fans are the best.
A fan project VCR was shown to Lee Sung Kyung which made her emotional.
Lee Sung Kyung ended the fan meeting by singing the song “From Now On” from her drama “Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.”
