Actors Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin have been confirmed as the main characters of MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “The Call You Are Making (English translation).”
MBC’s 12-episode series ‘The Call You Are Making’ is a work that depicts a romance that begins when a kidnapper’s threatening call comes to a couple in an arranged marriage who have been living without talking to each other for three years. It is based on Kakao Page’s popular web novel with the same name.
In the drama,Yoo Yeon Seok will be taking the role of ‘Baek Sa Eon’, the son of a prominent political family with perfect qualifications and the youngest spokesperson for the President’s Office.
Sa Eon is known for his work as a war correspondent in a dangerous zone, negotiating with hostage-takers, and anchoring on public TV. But his life takes a turn when his wife, Hong Hee Joo, whom he hardly interacts with, gets kidnapped.
Meanwhile, Chae Soo Bin portrays Hong Hee-joo, the daughter of a media mogul, who enters a arranged marriage with Baek Sa Eon. Despite grappling with mutism due to a childhood accident, Hee Joo excels as a proficient sign language interpreter, employed at courts and broadcasting stations.
