aespa Stuns at Lollapalooza Debut in Chicago

On August 2, members KARINA, GISELLE, WINTER, and NINGNING took over the Allianz Stage at Grant Park for a standout Sunday evening set. Supported by a live band, a DJ, and full dance troupe, aespa delivered a powerhouse 14-song setlist blending global hits with live debuts from their second studio album, LEMONADE.

The high-energy set was livestreamed globally across Hulu in the U.S., Disney+ in international markets, and Weverse in select regions including South Korea.

After a live band intro, aespa launched into the performance with their iconic debut single “Black Mamba,” quickly following up with “Next Level” and “Rich Man.” The set continued with fan favorites such as “Armageddon,” “Supernova,” and “Whiplash.”

Beyond their top hits, the group debuted live renditions of new B-sides from LEMONADE, including “Can’t Help Myself,” “SHAKIN’,” and the double title tracks “WDA” and “LEMONADE.”

Ty Dolla $ign Makes Surprise Stage Appearance

The peak of the night occurred during “Switchblade,” when featured artist Ty Dolla $ign made an unannounced appearance on stage, sending the Chicago crowd into a frenzy. Marking their first live performance of the track together, aespa and Ty Dolla $ign displayed effortless stage presence and playful synergy.
