BLACKPINK’s Lisa bags 3 new Guinness World Records title

Lisa of BLACKPINK added three more Guinness World Record titles under her belt.

On January 24, Guinness World Records announced and confirmed through their social media that Lisa broken three world records.

In late 2021, Lisa released her debut single “LaLisa,” becoming the most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours with 73.6 million views. In addition to that, according to Guinness World Record, ‘Lisa has become the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards as well as the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards.’  

Moreover, Lisa also bagged the title of most followers on Instagram for a K-pop artist with 86.3 million followers as of 19 January 2023. It makes her the 38th most-followed account on the platform.

Currently, as of January 2023, BLACKPINK owned these titles: most subscribers for a band on YouTube, first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart (female) and the first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the US albums chart (female).
