Hallyuween in PH: Spirits Unleashed

It’s a trick and also treat at the first Hallyuween celebration in the Philippines. Fans and 10 acts dressed as vampires, zombies, their favorite K-Pop idols, and more unleashed their spirits on October 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Filipino Drag Queens Minty Fresh, Lady Morgana, and Lady Gagita, as well as P-Pop group BGYO, performed alongside Korean Stars CL, Epik High, Pentagon, KARD, Gaho & Kave, and DJ Soda at the first Hallyuween, which was organized by Happee Sy of PULP Live World.

And yeah, there were zombies! *Talented* zombies were there to scare the crowd, as if they were from the hit Korean dramas Kingdom or All of Us Are Dead.

Drag Queens Minty Fresh, Lady Morgana, and Lady Gagita kicked off the party! Minty Fresh and Lady Morgana were part of the first season of Drag Race Philippines. Lady Gagita showcased her impersonation skills when she performed Lady Gaga’s iconic “Paparazzi” performance. Lady Morgana is truly a lip sync assassin as she performed “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston. Moreover, powerful in red, Minty Fresh enthralled the crowd with her performance of Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”

Lady Morgana wrote on Twitter:

Gaho x Kave rocks Manila stage

Moving forward, Gaho & Kave were the first Korean artist to perform. You may know them from their hit official soundtracks for Itaewon Class and Start-Up. They definitely started as they performed “Start Over.” It was then followed by “Running” Start-Up’s official soundtrack.

The band then performed their original tracks titled “Beautiful Night” and “High.” They recently did a cover a Blackpink’s Shut Down but they performed their version of Blackpink’s “How You like That.” Gaho shared that they prepared a lot for the event and they hope to come back.

Pentagon reunites with PH Universe

A treat for Universe (fandom name), Pentagon returned to Manila for the first ever Hallyuween. The event served as a reunion for the fans and Pentagon. Pentagon made their debut in 2016 but they recalled that this is maybe their second time wearing halloween costumes.

The members performed “Feelin’ Like” which was released earlier this year. Also from their 12th mini-album IN:VITE U, Pentagon then performed “Sparkling Night.” Written by Kino, Pentagon showcased their mesmerizing vocals with “Beautiful Goodbye.” Pentagon also performed “Call My Name,” and of course their hit song “Shine.”

BGYO is like a *magnet*

P-Pop group BGYO was the only Filipino group in the event. ACEs follow the bright light when BGYO opened their set with their deubut song “The Light.”Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate performed “The Baddest,” which was released last year. BGYO then serenaded the crowd with “Kundiman,” which was written by Akira himself. During that terrifying night, the song definitely brought kilig.

It’s not complete if they will not perform their latest song “Magnet.” The boys definitely gained new fans with their talent and visuals.

KARD celebrates Halloween in the Ph for the first time

Members of KARD were all in costumes! BM disguised himself as a skeleton, Somin dressed up as a cat woman, Jiwoo arrived as a pirate, and J,Seph was a vampire. Even with makeup and costumes we can say that KARD’s talent is never hidden.

In 2018, KARD held their WILD KARD tour in Manila. From their 5th mini-album “Re.” KARD performed “Ring The Alarm.” They also performed “Oh NaNa,” “Don’t Recall,” “Bomb Bomb,” “Dumb Litty,” and “Red Moon.”

EPIK Hallyuween!

Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz definitely fired up the night. Opening their set with “NO THANXXX.” The trio also performed “Burj Khalifa,” and “One.” Filipino High Skools did really miss Epik High. They also performed “Born Hater,” and “Don’t Hate Me.”

Regarding the next Hallyuween, Tablo jokingly said that they will come back even if they are not invited for next year’s Hallyuween. We definitely want to see Epik High again!

CL spiced up the Hallyuween

She goes by the name we already know! With the iconic intro, you will already know that the fans will jump and dance. Yes, it’s 2ne1’s “I Am The Best.” After that iconic intro, she performed “Spicy” that made the venue hotter. CL also performed “Hwa” and “Five Sta,r” which was released in 2020 and marked her new beginning.

Moreover, CL also performed her hit songs “Doctor Pepper,” “MTBD,” and for her final song she performed “Hello Bitches.”

Before Hallyuween ended, DJ Soda hyped the crowd as she spinned at MOA Arena in a spiderwoman outfit.

The first ever Hallyuween Party was presented by Pulp Live World and Happee Sy.
