iKON Bobby trended on Twitter after media K-Pop Herald wrote on their social media, “An industry insider told K-pop Herald that iKON’s Bobby has not decided to renew his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment.”
They continued, “The insider added that many are keeping an eye on which company will be housing the rapper. “
According to previous news reports, Bobby is currently in discussions with YG Entertainment regarding the contract. After final discussions with YG, Bobby is expected to make an official announcement about whether he will renew his contract.
As of writing, YG Entertainment has not publicly released its official position.
Bobby appeared on YG boy group survival program “WIN”, which was broadcasted on Mnet in 2013, before his official debut with his first digital single “MY TYPE” on September 15, 2015.
Moreover, Bobby has been selected as an iKON member through the new YG boy group survival “MIX & MATCH”, which aired in 2014.
