Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen, members of the popular group EXO, recently faced a contractual dispute with their agency, SM Entertainment. However, on the 19th, both parties released a joint statement revealing that they have resolved their misunderstanding and chosen to uphold the exclusive contract.
In their official statement, the company and the three artists expressed that they have successfully addressed the misunderstandings that led to their conflicts and have come to a mutually agreeable resolution. They emphasized their commitment to moving forward and actively expanding their endeavors together.
Additionally, SM Entertainment has retracted its previous assertion about a third-party external force pressuring the three EXO members to sign a dual contract, acknowledging that it was an incorrect claim.
SM said, “Initially, we received a report that a third party was approaching the three artists with unreasonable intentions. We apologize to the people involved for causing concern with our announcement.”
EXO will release their 7th regular album ‘EXIST’ next month, July 10.
