INFINITE’s Nam Woo Hyun Serenades Miss Universe PH 2023

It was a night to remember at the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 as the talented singer-songwriter Nam Woo Hyun of Infinite serenaded the audience with his top vocals and beautiful music. It is more special for Inspirits as it has been 8 years since he returns to the Philippines for a performance. The last time that Nam Woo Hyun was here is during their group concert Infinite 2nd World Tour in Manila – Infinite Effect.

Nam Woo Hyun is a member of INFINITE a Korean boy group who debuted on June 9, 2010, together with his members; Kim Sungkyu, Jang Dong Woo, Lee Ho Won, Lee Sungyeol, Kim Myung Soo, and Lee Sungjong. After then, Woo Hyun released his first EP ‘Write’ as a solo artist last May 9, 2016. His second EP ‘Second Write’ was released on September 3, 2018, with the title of the first single ‘If Only You Are Fine’.

Woo Hyun sang “Shooting Star” and “Lonely Night” during the opening of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 which is exclusive for the live audience. Another outstanding performance of his took place during the latter part of the show. He mesmerized the audience as he gracefully sang two beautiful songs, “You’re My Lady” and “Kkeudeok, Kkeudeok” (also known as “Nod Nod”). The crowd erupted in thunderous cheers, and the venue was filled with the radiant glow of yeobongs, symbolizing their unwavering love and support for Woo Hyun.

After his performance, Woo Hyun expressed his thanks to the MUPH Organization for inviting him to perform for this year’s Miss Universe Philippines. He even drop the biggest news for Inspirits, to anticipate the possibility of a solo concert with his fellow INFINITE members.

On the other hand, the crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 who will represent the country in the prestigious pageant of Miss Universe is Michelle Dee from Makati City.  She is the daughter of Melanie Marquez our Miss International 1979.

Dee, a Kapuso actress, model, and businesswoman, will compete in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant later this year in El Salvador. During the pageant show, she prevailed over the other 37 participants. Dee also received awards for Face of Ponds, Miss Aqua, Miss Zion, and Best in Evening Gown.

Later, at a different ceremony, Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol and Krishnah Gravidez from Baguio were chosen Miss Supranational Philippines and Miss Charm Philippines, respectively. The first runner-up was Christine Opiaza of Zambales, while the second runner-up was Angelique Manto of Pampanga.
