Actor Im Si Wan took a stance stating that the rumor about his appearance in season 2 of the Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’ is ‘unconfirmed’.
On the 15th, an official from Si Wan’s agency, Plum A&C, said, “There is nothing we can confirm. We ask for your understanding.”
Earlier that same day, a Korean media outlet reported exclusively that Im Si Wan had been cast in Season 2 of ‘Squid Game’. According to the report, the intention was to introduce a new storyline featuring actors Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun, who were prominent in Season 1 (2021) of ‘Squid Game’.
Following the success of ‘Squid Game’, Netflix’s biggest hit in 2021, Season 2 is now in the works. This thrilling series portrays a high-stakes survival game where contestants risk their lives for a chance to win a prize of 45.6 billion won. In a groundbreaking achievement, the first season became the first non-English language production to win six awards at the US Emmy Awards, establishing a new record.
