The widely adored all-female idol group BLACKPINK has been extended a special invitation to perform at a high-profile dinner event, which will be attended by President Yoon Suk Yeol and US President Biden.
On the 28th, a representative of YG Entertainment, the agency that manages BLACKPINK, stated in a phone interview with the media that the proposal for BLACKPINK to perform at the dinner event is currently under review.
Earlier on the same day, a Korean Media had reported that a joint cultural event featuring renowned singers from both South Korea and the United States is being organized during President Yoon Suk Yeol’s official visit to the US. According to the report, BLACKPINK, and Lady Gaga are highly likely to participate in the event.
Recently, BLACKPINK wrapped up their concert in the Philippines on March 25 and 26 as part of their ongoing world tour ‘BORN PINK’.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is scheduled to make appearances at two major music festivals this year. They will be performing at the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ in the US in April, and headlining the ‘Hyde Park British Summer Festival’ in the UK in July.
